1. Who We Are

entitlemate is operated by Brendan Ryan (ABN pending), based in Australia. We build independent financial simulation tools to help Australian families understand their government entitlements.

2. The "Digital Twin" Model

entitlemate operates as a financial simulator. We do not access your bank accounts, linked services, or any real-world financial data. All calculations are based exclusively on the inputs you provide.

3. What We Collect

• Profile data you enter: Name, date of birth, income, number of children, housing costs, and activity hours — used solely to run entitlement calculations.
• Authentication data: If you choose to create an account (via Google Sign-In or email), we store your email address and a unique user ID to sync your profile across devices.
• No tracking cookies: We do not use analytics cookies, advertising trackers, or third-party marketing pixels.

4. How We Store Your Data

• Local storage: Your profile data is stored locally on your device using browser storage (SharedPreferences / localStorage).
• Cloud sync (optional): If you sign in, your profile is encrypted in transit (TLS) and stored in Google Cloud Firestore, hosted in Australia. Only you can access your data.
• On logout: All local data is cleared. Cloud data persists so you can restore it on your next login.

5. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used for one purpose only: to calculate your family's entitlement position based on current Australian government rules. We do not:

• Sell your data to third parties
• Use your data for advertising or marketing purposes
• Share your data with financial advisors, insurers, or any other party
• Use your data to train AI models

6. Third-Party Services

• Firebase Authentication: Managed by Google, used for secure sign-in. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Cloud Firestore: Managed by Google Cloud, used for optional profile backup. Data is stored in the Australia region.

7. Your Rights

You can at any time:

• Delete your local data by logging out (this clears all local storage).
• Delete your cloud data by contacting us at brendan@entitlemate.com.
• Request a copy of all data we hold about you.

8. Children's Privacy

entitlemate does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. The app is designed for parents and guardians to model household entitlements.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the app's home screen. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version.
